The Kenyan Government spends only £7.50* on each child’s
education per year. The Ribban Children’s Trust is a charity that
has been set up to directly support two schools in rural Kenya
in their mission to provide basic education.

Objectives of the Trust
- To contribute towards good quality education and a full curriculum for all children.
- To improve current classrooms, staff rooms and latrines.
- To purchase text books, stationery, furniture and computers.
- To raise awareness of parents about the importance of schooling.
- To support the community in developing local projects which will generate ongoing income.
What will your contributions achieve?
- School buildings with doors, windows, rainproof roofs and dry flooring.
- Increase pass rates at national examinations.
- Provide children with toys, text books and writing materials as well as desks, chairs, library books, playgrounds and equipment.
- The schools will have trees and vegetable gardens.
- The whole school community will have safe water for drinking and washing.
- Sex education will tackle teenage pregnancy and HIV/Aids issues.
This will help create the environment where the children
will feel happy, valued and motivated to learn.
